Why I'm Riding
Like Ukrainian children, my mother experienced war trauma as a European child in WWII… bomb shelters, hunger, destruction, occupation. As a result, as an adult (when I was a child), she began to experience PTSD, which manifested in a serious mental health disorder permanently altering her personality and behavior for the rest of her life. Her illness Impacted my family immensely. From a young age, I developed a heightened awareness, unique insight, and deep sensitivity to the need for greater public mental health understanding, compassion, and action. I am riding to champion this cause!
